Get started with your new Toll Box
On this page, we have gathered good advice, tips, and useful information to help you get started with your Toll Box.
It is important that you connect the box to power before using it.
The first time the box starts up, it will light up red, and it will display 'Waiting for vehicle data'. This will disappear once the box is configured with vehicle details. Vehicle details must be added in our self-service.
The configuration can take between 10 minutes and 2 hours. After that, you need to approve the number plate, and then the box will light up green.
If the box requires a new update, this update will be completed the first time the box is turned on and has a mobile signal.
If the box does not turn on automatically when the driver starts driving, you must manually press the green button to activate the box.
Ensure that the road toll box or app lights up green before you drive
If the Toll box or Toll app lights up red during a trip, you should pull over at the next safe place and try to resolve the issue, as you risk getting a fine otherwise.
Make sure that the Toll box is always correctly mounted to the power supply. If the Toll box gives a warning that the battery level is low, it is important that you respond and restore the power supply.
Outages in the GPS signal, which result in the Toll box switching from green to red light, do not incur fines, as the toll system automatically compensates for short-term outages. If the GPS signal is lost for more than an hour and the Toll box lights up red, you must respond by pulling over at the next safe place.
Try to resolve the issue or purchase a Toll ticket before continuing the trip.
