What is the pilot phase?
The pilot phase is a test period during which the systems are tested to ensure they are ready for the road toll to take effect on January 1, 2025.
The period runs from October 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
If you choose to use your box(es) or the app before January 1, 2025, you will participate in the pilot phase.
If you do not wish to be part of the pilot phase, do not use your boxes or thd app before January 1, 2025.
What do we gain from participating in the pilot phase?
If you choose to be part of the pilot phase, you will get a preview of how your transactions will appear in the self-service system when road tolls come into effect on January 1, 2025. Additionally, the pilot phase is a good opportunity to test the setup for both box and app and get the box installed in your car in good time.
You will, of course, not be charged road tolls for trips made before January 1, 2025. However, you will be able to see what you would have been charged if the trip had been made after December 31, 2024.
Attention:
Please be aware that from December 10, 2024, to December 31, 2024, you will no longer be able to see the driven route and the expected price for it in the self-service. This is because Vejafgifter are updating their systems to be ready to go live on January 1, 2025.

What data can we see in the self-service during the pilot phase?
When the pilot phase has started, you can log in to the self-service and click on 'Usage', where you can see the toll transactions that you would have been charged if the trip had been taken in 2025.
Please note that it is the toll expected to be passed in the Danish Parliament in December 2024, coming into effect on 1 January 2025.

Under each transaction, you can access a map on the Danish Road Directorate's website, which shows the route the transaction applies to. See picture below.
You can also download a file, which you can filter and that can give you a better overview of your transactions.

When will we be invoiced?
When you start using your Toll Box, it will work in the same places as your bizz. Therefore, it is important that you remove your bizz from the car if you have not already had it converted.
Up until and including December 31, 2024, you will only be charged for usage via the Toll Box when you drive on the Storebælt Bridge, the Øresund Bridge, or in Norway. These will also be the only trips that appear on your invoice. Only from January 1, 2025, when road toll come into effect, will you also be able to see these charges on your invoice. Here you will see a transaction line per box per day. A day runs from 00:00 to 23:59.
The same applies to the use of the Toll App, however, it can only be used for payment on the Great Belt Bridge and the Øresund Bridge - not in Norway.
