It is important that your Toll Box always is connected to a power supply when you are driving. It gets power either via a fixed connection or via the cigarette lighter socket. Ensure that it is connected to a stable and secure power source.
If you disconnect the Toll Box from the power supply, it can only hold power for a short period of time. Therefore, it is important that you reconnect it to the power supply relatively quickly.
How to connect the cables to the correct connection points
When the Toll Box is connected to a permanent power supply in the vehicle, it is important that the wires are connected to the correct connection points:
- The red wire must be connected to the vehicle's power supply. This ensures that the box receives the correct power when the vehicle is turned on.
- The black ignition signal wire must be connected to the vehicle ignition. This wire signals the box to start up when the vehicle is turned on and to shut down/go into sleep mode when the vehicle is turned off.
- The white wire must be connected to the chassis/ground terminal.
The wires for the power supply
If the wires are connected to the wrong connection points, it can cause issues with the power supply to the box and the signals the box receives.
The box will not receive the correct signal that the vehicle is starting up or shutting down if the red and black wires are connected incorrectly.
