CO₂ Emission Class
CO₂ Emission Class
The CO₂ emission class indicates the climate impact caused by the operation of the truck.
In an EU directive from 2022, it was determined that trucks must be classified into one of five CO₂ emission classes. The CO₂ emission class for each truck is based on the truck's specific CO₂ emissions and a defined CO₂ reference value for the specific vehicle subgroup.

It is a requirement that you specify the CO₂ class and the technically permissible maximum weight (F1) for both Danish and foreign vehicles if these are not automatically retrieved from The Danish Motor Register when entering the number plate.
-
CO₂ class 1: Upload the vehicle registration certificate containing information on the number plate, chassis number, and technically permissible maximum weight (F1).
-
CO₂ classes 2–5: Upload both the registration certificate and COC documentation or CIF documentation.
Note: If you disagree with the CO₂ emission class that has been registered, you should contact The Danish Motor Agency. This only applies to Danish vehicles.

Weight
Toll fees will be influenced by the allowed gross weight. Read more on the toll fees website.
Chassis number
It is not mandatory to fill in the chassis number for the Toll Box or the Toll App. However, if you are from a non-digital country and upload documentation for Green Discount, it is required that you fill in the chassis number. The chassis number thus relates to Green Discount and not to road tolls.
Please note
You should not enter periods (.), hyphens (-), or spaces when entering the number plate in the self-service. You should only enter the numbers and letters of the number plate
