To increase security, we have created a new login solution where you must use a 6-digit code when you log in to the self-service. How do I log in to the self-service?
When road tolls come into effect on January 1, 2025, you will need to decide how to handle the charges, as well as how to manage the settlement both with your customers and any subcontractors.
As a customer of Brobizz, you will receive a consolidated transaction per day for each Toll Box or Toll App you have. If you have driven for multiple customers or freight forwarders, this cost cannot necessarily be re-invoiced one-to-one.
Below you can read a couple of the solutions that we hear others in the industry recommend for charging. Please be aware that Brobizz cannot assist you with data for these solutions.
Set a fixed price per driven kilometer
You can choose to charge a fixed price per driven kilometer, which you include in the final price to your customers. This is the same method used for pricing and cost allocation of, among other things, diesel costs. Please be aware that there are differences in the rates depending on the truck's CO2 class, weight, and whether it is driven within or outside Environmental Zones. You can see the rates at vejafgifter.dk
Use software for calculation
You can also choose to purchase software for your Transport Management System (TMS), which can help calculate the price of each individual trip. This method is used by other hauliers who already pay road tolls elsewhere in Europe. One of the software programs we have heard about from the industry is Map & Guide.
Please be aware that this type of program is not integrated with the systems we have at Brobizz.
Alternative calculation method
As an alternative method, you can choose to wait to invoice your customers until you have received the final transaction from Brobizz via the self-service. In the self-service, you can find a link to the road toll website, where you can see the final route.
If you want to know the price before the route is driven, you can choose to register the route on the road toll website, after which you will get the price the route is expected to cost.
How do we control our outlays for road tolls?
To ensure that you cover your expenses for road tolls, you can advantageously monitor the amounts you have re-invoiced for road tolls in relation to the charges that continuously come from Brobizz.
You can also always check your driven routes on the road directorate's map to ensure they are correct. You can find a link to the road directorate's map in the self-service.
